If you know me at all, you probably know my love for The Office. One of my favorite parts has always been the Jim and Pam office romance. But do office romances ever actually work in real life? I mean, one of the hardest things about dating is trying to find time to get together. So it seems like dating someone who works at the same place would be a no-brainer. There’s gotta be a reason they tell us not to do it. Will the gossip be bad? Will work performance suffer? Will the universe implode? Who could know? Well, as it turns out, Ryan and Bethany met at work, and you know what? The universe didn’t implode. In fact, sometimes having an office romance means getting to meet the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. A real life Jim and Pam scenario… But without the Roy ;)
As much as I love Jim and Pam’s story, I think Ryan and Bethany definitely have them beat when it comes to proposal stories. While Jim’s gas station proposal is iconic and quite memorable for fans of the show, Ryan’s real life proposal to Bethany at a gorgeous overlook atop the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee sounds way better! They plan a hiking trip every year, but I’m guessing this year’s trip to the Smoky Mountains is going to be hard to beat.
For their engagement session Ryan and Bethany really liked the idea of Overlook Park, especially with its wooded area, so that’s where we did most of their pictures, and it turned out to be a beautiful golden hour evening! I’m so happy for these two, and I can’t wait for their wedding next Spring!
