My sweet friend Lindsey sent me a message earlier this year asking if I would be available to photograph a special event for a few hours during a weekday in May. I assumed she meant she was looking for a photographer for a corporate event type thing, which isn’t really my jam since I usually stick to portraits and weddings, so I was hesitant to simply say yes. But when I asked her what type of event it would be for, she completely took me by surprise when she told me she and Brad were engaged and they wanted me to photograph their wedding!!! Apparently they hadn’t told their families yet, so they were trying to keep all the plans under wraps for the time being until they were able to tell everyone.
I had heard Lindsey talk about this Brad guy for a while now, and I could tell that there seemed to be something special there, but my husband and I didn’t actually get to meet him until we met the two of them for lunch a few weeks before their wedding. They told us the whole story of how they met 2 years ago, when Brad was working at the courthouse and Lindsey got called for jury duty. He now has a pretty serious job as a prosecutor, but I really enjoyed learning that he also has a goofy side and a love for karaoke :) After only a few conversations, it was easy to see how great of a guy Brad is and that he and Lindsey are pretty perfect together.
Brad and Lindsey had the most beautiful day for their courthouse ceremony in York, PA! It was definitely hot, lol! But it was beautiful!! It was so fun that they got married in the same building where they met! I loved getting to meet their families and help make their simple courthouse ceremony wedding a super special day. I couldn't be happier for this sweet friend of mine, and doesn't she look simply stunning in her favorite color?! Congrats again Brad and Lindsey, thank you for having me capture your beautiful wedding day, I wish you all the best!!
