Adam & Lacey // Harrisburg Wedding

blog_0514.jpg

It all started with a blind date....well, sort of....it depends who you ask. Adam and Lacey met through mutual friends, and while they may not agree on what their first date actually was, one thing they do agree on is that they plan on spending the rest of their dates together as Mr. and Mrs.

Spring weather was finally starting to settle in, and love was in the air as Adam and Lacey got ready for their big day. Lacey and her bridesmaids sat in her kitchen the morning of the wedding and prepared their beautiful flower bouquets and boutonnieres, while Adam and the groomsmen spent the morning taking part in one of their favorite pastimes....fishing.

Since Lacey is also a photographer, I felt honored and so excited that she asked us to capture her wedding. Everything turned out beautiful and Adam and Lacey couldn't stop smiling at each other the whole day. We wish you guys the best as you start your new life together!

Lacey and her girls did all the flowers themselves from the bouquets to the shotgun shell boutonnieres , and they turned out amazing!

I don't think Adam goes anywhere without at least one or two knives on him. You never know when you might need one...

Adam waited nervously for his bride to arrive for their first look.

It was a beautiful Spring day, although a bit cold and windy. So Adam, ever the gentleman, gave Lacey his jacket to keep warm...after all, that's what men's jackets are for, right?

Two of the sweetest little flower girls ever!

Adam and Lacey's pitbull, Ghillie, was given the important role of ring bearer, and she did her job superbly. This was the first time I've witnessed a canine ring bearer, but what an awesome idea it was, since Ghillie means so much to them, it was an awesome way to include her in the ceremony!

I loved the Jenga guest book idea!

One of Lacey's requests was that we sneak out for a bit during the reception to capture some golden hour pictures before it got dark. I'm so glad we were able to time it perfectly. The light was dreamy as it beautifully highlighted their love for each other.

Remember that big knife strapped to Adam's leg? ....for those times when an ordinary cake knife just won't do!

May the spark of your love burn bright for many years to come!
