Ben and Emily were referred to us by a fellow photographer friend, and as soon as we started chatting I could tell they were going to be a great couple to work with. And then when we met up with them for their engagement session at Masonic Village, my prediction was confirmed, we had a blast together! The love they have for each other just exudes out of them, and they’re the type of couple that can go from model poses one minute to cracking up laughing and being totally goofy the next minute, which is so fun! They are actually high school sweethearts, so they’ve been dating for a long time and then got engaged last fall, almost exactly a year ago! Ben proposed while they were taking a nice fall Sunday afternoon walk in the woods, a sweet and simple surprise, and it sounds perfect!
For their engagement session they liked the idea of Masonic Village, since Emily went to E-town College and was familiar with how pretty the area is. The garden areas weren’t really in bloom at all and everything was still pretty brown, since their session took place at the end of winter, but the golden hour glow was gorgeous and their session still turned out so beautiful! I think this is one of those places that looks awesome no matter what time of year it is! Congrats on your engagement Ben and Emily, I can’t wait to help celebrate you guys at your wedding!
