Justin and Shayla met back in high school, freshman year in FFA to be exact, but didn’t really start talking until the middle of senior year. They went to prom together, after which they started dating. And then 3 years later, while taking a walk through the woods, the same place they had their first date, Justin got down on one knee and popped the question with a beautiful ring. Shayla, totally shocked, asked him, “Is that real?!” …It’s real alright, as real as their love for each other, and I couldn’t be happier for them.
I’ve been friends with Justin’s family for several years, and have had the pleasure of doing family pictures with them, as well as Justin and his sister’s senior pictures. It’s so cool to see how he’s grown up and is now getting ready to start a wonderful new adventure with the love of his life. Shayla is simply perfect for him, and anyone can see, even just by the way that they look at each other, they are crazy about one another. I am so excited for them, and I can’t wait for their wedding next year!
For their engagement session, we wandered around the grounds of their gorgeous wedding venue, The Mill at Manor Falls, and it was so much fun imagining what it will look like next summer for their wedding! Justin and Shayla were such naturals they made our job so easy, it was actually pretty hard to pick which ones to share for this blog post, they were all so good!
